Info about Calisthenics...


Many people these days turn to calisthenics, mainly because they can't access a gym due to quarantine.The word 'Calisthenics' comes from the greek words 'kallos' and 'sthenos' which basically means beauty and strength. Calisthenics mainly consists of bodyweight exercises (very much like gymnastics) done on bars,parallettes(two low bars) etc...Some calisthenics exercises everyone knows,like pullups and pushups,and some may people haven't even heard of,like flags,levers,dragonfly... To progress massively in calisthenics the secret is to PRACTISE,PRACTISE,PRACTISE, As much as a cliche that might sound it's TRUE .One can't do a muscleup without at least doing 15 clean pullups.Even the most successful in calisthenics on youtube had to practise 3-4 months to learn a handstand.
